Seed Planning and Registry Application Workshop

When: 1-4pm February 25th 
Where: Building 370, Room 105 - Vancouver Island University, Nanaimo

The Seed Planning and Registry application (SPAR) is a web-based information management system that provides clients with direct online access to a provincial registry of forest tree seed and seedling request system. This workshop will provide comprehensive tutorial on various screen and functions in the SPAR application. Topics covered will be:
  • Geographic Based Seed Transfer (GBST) and Climate Based Seed Transfer (CBST) and appropriate seedlot selection using both transfer methods;
  • the seedling request and seedlot selection screens that includes troubleshooting of common errors;
  • seed map screens and how they can be used to aid with planning and;
  • planning for your seed needs and how SPAR reports can help you 

Participants must bring their own laptop with the latest version of IE or Firefox installed (not Chrome).

Valid BCeID or IDIR required - if you do not have one, please let Sabina know in advance.
